The Nevada State Board of Cosmetology's Licensing Specialist Team manages the licensing and processing for a variety of professions. One purpose of licensing professionals and salons is to deliver a level of consumer confidence. A licensed professional has demonstrated that the individual has passed a theory test directly related to infection control procedural knowledge and minimal competency in delivering services in a safe, clean, and lawful manner. The goal of the Licensing Specialist Team is to "deliver fast, efficient, and accurate information and services to current and prospective licensed professionals".
