If you are licensed in another state, you may be eligible for reciprocity if all Nevada licensing requirements are met. Reciprocity is Nevada's recognition of your license in esthetics, advanced esthetics, cosmetology, hair braiding, hair design, nail technology, and your license to instruct from another state, district, territory, or country. The total cost for submitting a reciprocity application is a non-refundable fee of $325.00.

To obtain reciprocity in the State of Nevada, your license should be active and in good standing in another state, and it should meet the requirements as per NRS 644A.640. To apply for a license via reciprocity, you need to complete an Individual Application, provide all the necessary information, and pass a 25-question Nevada State Law Test with a minimum of 75%. Additionally, you may need to complete other exams as required by NRS 644A.640.

Please Note: Nevada does not recognize the Florida license titled "Full Specialist."  This is due to the training requirements for the Full Specialist license not being comparable to Nevada's Licenses for Nail Technician and Esthetician. Nevada also does not recognize Alaska's Manicurist license and only recognizes the Advanced Manicurist license. This is due to the training requirements for the Manicurist license not being comparable to Nevada's Nail Technician license.
