Room Requirements for Light Based Services

In each cosmetological establishment or school of cosmetology: 

​

1.  All areas in which a laser or an intense pulsed light device is used must: 

(a) Be maintained free from safety hazards; and  

(b) Contain appropriate signage indicating the use of the device.

2.  All walls, floors, ceilings, furnishings and fixtures in any area described in subsection 1 must: (a) Be fully enclosed; and  

(b) Not be constructed of reflective material.
